![]() ![]() The writers tried to implement a "Souls" story telling format in this game by just making NPCs mumble depressing nonsense. Now my personal main problem: The story goes nowhere. None of the above were true for Aragami 1. It constantly re-uses the same music tracks for repeated missions. Forces the player to repeat the same fetch quests over and over again to progress the story. Forces the player to repeat the same maps over and over again to progress the story. I don't hate it, believe me i tried really hard to like this game after 20 hours of gameplay. Huge Aragami 1 fan here but i can't help this game. Since you come back every time in the same map but another area open, I'm sad the last level does not always open the entire map. The story isn't as good as the first one and personally, I missed the teleport in shadows too but you get eventually used to it and I found the map design, well, especially the city maps really amazing. Now, if you want my opinion, it's a very cool game, I'm glad everything is fixed and I had plenty of fun with it. Generally speaking, now that they're fixed, people seem okay but the game is still "poor" because it's lacking. ![]() The game was fixed, thank god, but there were a lot of issues on release.Īlso, combat is a bit better now but if you abuse some items, you become nearly invincible.Īlso, that dash / teleport was heavily criticized because it makes you so OP, you can jump from a target to another and do "death from above" stealth kills all over the place. The fact there were no control mapping was also a pretty big problem for everybody. The game was released with terrible bugs, you spend a very long time in a mission, trying to be stealthy, hide bodies and not kill anyone then you take a body, jump above a fence or down to the ledge below and your character was starting to do infinite jumps and locking you which made you automatically fail that mission.Īnd it's only one of them. OP asked why the game is hate by people, not by you or me personally. It does a lot of things right but it never reaches High levels. The biggest flaw of Aragami 2 is definitely lack of variety in mission types and maps. The problem is that a lot of maps weren't made for 3 players. Newest patch with Region lock and some other neat features fixes a lot of de-syncs. Co Op was kinda bad I will give him that, since you could be matched with people who LAGGED so hard it was a slideshow. Never had a crash, framerate drop BUT i did encounter few small bugs. Previous person said the game was released in a terrible state and to that I can say it wasn't as bad as he/she says. Having no LEVEL EDITOR kinda sucks as it would add massive replay value to the game. Which it should be since its more about STALKING and Stealth Kills. Melee combat although nice to see, it's implemented poorly and kind of feels like a last resort measure. Perhaps not for everyone as being overpowered makes the game laughably easy. Felt like a cheap neon signs outside some Asian pawn stores lol.Īragami 2 can make the player feel overpowered thanks to various skills just like in Tenchu Z players felt the progression from newbie ninja to the ONE WITH THE SHADOWS. means of maneuvering around the enemies.Īlso personally didn't like the style of the first Aragami game. Honestly that's what teleporting to shadows is. Never liked Teleporting to shadows ( you can totally do that with Aragami 2, double jump and dashes mid-air can take you long distances, previously you had a limited range where you could jump to another shadow ). They did fix the game (though I feel like they gave up on Aragami 2, or will maybe release a DLC then go away? We don't have many news) but it did hurt it a whole lot.Īs a Tenchu fan Aragami 2 is way closer to that game than Aragami 1. Well, all this led to negative reviews and hate from the community. The game was also released in a terrible state, no control mapping, plenty of game breaking bugs, co-op was also broken. (apparently everything was too similar) Instead, we got a single tree, we cannot max it out, and it's lacking. they gave up on the entire skill system with 3 different trees oriented towards fighting, stealth and I don't remember what else. the combat system is broken and doesn't even seem to make sense when you try it for the first time Shadows are useless and the entire concept of Aragami is gone (in 1, shadows were really important to regenerate your powers and you could only teleport in shadows. No level editor (1 had it and it does seriously limit the replayability) It's not very hard, maybe a bit repetitive. ![]() However, yes, as Turritopsis said, it's lacking. Don't get me wrong, the game is really cool and I enjoyed it. ![]()
